Flying the flag in business – British banner flags and associated advantages

Over a quarter of people in Britain support British business as they say they want to keep money in our country. Over 23% of Britons worry that if a British product was sold to a foreign company, it would eventually loose its British label. Another reason why people buy these products is because they can read and understand the packaging.

The older generation are more concerned with supporting the British economy, with 32% saying they want to promote local British businesses and local jobs compared with only 29% of 16 – 34 year olds.

Research suggests that when people are doing their weekly shopping they tend to go for British owned brands such as kingsmill, bisto and wall's. The products that are manufactured in the UK seem to be more appealing to the consumer as these are the products that sell extremely well. This is also due to the fact that people eat what their use to, and often generations that have ate the same brand of a certain product will carry this tradition. It is no suprise then when 31% of people think that if an english brand of food or drink moved abroad, it would have a negative affect on its sales figures from previously.
