Print advertising tips
Use a simple format – When using banners or flyers to advertise, don't try and put too much information on as it will look to cluttered and people may have trouble trying to read it. Use key words as opposed to sentences. Add images to break text down.
Include picture captions – If you have added an image to your advertisement, it's best to use a caption as it allows the reader to take more notice of your advertisement.
Stress the positive benefits - It's essential that when promoting a single product to stress the benefits of it so that the buyer knows whats to expect when purchasing the product.
Focus on one offer – When your promoting an offer, just focus on that task. The more focused the message is, the more impact it will have on potential new customers.
Using colour – If you choose to add colour to your advert don't use not too much. Colour helps to grab the attention of people passing by an ad. Too much colour can deliver a confusing message to on lookers.
Location of advertisement – If your advertisement is going to be printed in a magazine, have it printed on the right hand side as it will be noticed by more people, but if your handing flyers out its best to hand them out in a town where its busy and the word spreads.
