Trade Show Pointers
During the trade show makesure you do...
Ask the customers – Often customers want to ask their own questions about the products, so instead of doing a pitch ask the customers what they are looking for from the following products. This is a great opportunity to talk about what you have to offer them, and if possible ask the same questions to everybody, this will give you a better understanding of what people want.
Appearance – When at your booth to make yourself look approachable its best to stand up rather than sit down. This gives the the target audience more reason to approach your booth and maybe enquire a bit further. Just because you are behind a table, doesn't mean that you cant stand in the aisle or at the front, when its busy its best to stand out a little bit so that more people tend to notice your booth.
Movement catches the eye – People often notice things moving in the back ground, its ideal to use a television monitor or projector. This would allow you to also do a power point display, maybe showing how your products actually work.
Freebies – Everybody likes a freebie, and if you had a sign by your booth stating that something was free im sure a large crowd would gather as we all like something a free every now and then. You could offer maybe a free snack (biscuit, sweet) and place them on the table, or you could do a raffle. When the public notice a large crowd gathering around your booth, they will think their missing out on something and will come and take a look.

On the card you could have a section where the customer could write their contact details, this is a great way of following up on potential leads after the event is over.
Attend meetings – Often at large events where many businesses will be attending there is a magazine editor who will be talking to visitors as well as the businesses. Exhibitions are often very busy so it doesn't allow you to have much one o one talk with the customer, but given the chance to speak to an editor of a magazine it gives you an opportunity to talk about your business and to promote your products.
Promoting the event – There are many ways to promote the trade fair show, such as on every email you send, just quote i at the bottom so that your customers are aware its happening or send out leaflets to existing customers so that they can attend.
